When does a dream become a nightmare?
Between the hardships of life as a corporate worker and a complicated relationship with her deceased mother, twenty-nine-year-old Tommy Willow escapes her reality through the ability to dream walk—a generational skill passed down to the women in her family.
When she enters a random dreamscape filled with fire and destruction, she is found by Nicola Valentine, a skilled lucid dreamer who seems to have full autonomy in his sleeping world.
Since nobody can know about Tommy’s ability—a sacred oath to escape the monsters hunting her family down through the generations—she quickly abandons the nightmare.
That is, until Nico appears in her office the next day as a new hire—charming and infuriatingly gorgeous.
He confronts her for trespassing in his dream. In exchange for secrecy, he makes one request: she must help him reconstruct his dreamland into something else, anything but the pyre that has perpetually blazed since his childhood.
As Tommy and Nico’s lives intertwine through a series of nocturnal journeys, she realizes there’s something about Nico that she can’t turn away from.
The more Tommy spends her nights inside Nico’s burning dreamscape, the more she learns what lies beneath his alluring persona: a sinister truth that fractures the lines of their shared reality.
